Originally, in the 1950’s this Insula was numbered as Reg. I, Insula 19.

Jashemski thought there would have been about 300 trees planted, if they had been planted as she would have thought.

According to Jashemski, the masonry triclinium in the garden was shaded not by a vine-covered pergola but by the spreading branches of three large trees. An ornate plaque, made of two varieties of variegated marble, decorated the centre part of the small rectangular table between the couches. Arched niches under the couches provided storage space.  Between the small trees in front of the triclinium was a masonry altar.
