VI.10.14 Pompeii. Unnamed house. Excavated 1831. (Strada della Fortuna 58)

According to Fiorelli this was a rustic building with a long corridor preceded by a step, at the end of which was the Tuscanic atrium which had an impluvium surrounded by a brick pluteus which contained the cistern puteal. Found to the right was a triclinium and two rooms, and on the left was another triclinium, the kitchen and two smaller rooms; and facing ahead was a third triclinium, a room, and a recess for the wooden staircase, below this was a cupboard/storeroom.

(Viene appresso un edifizio rustico con lungo protiro preceduto da gradino, al cui termine sta l’atrio tuscanico, che ha l’impluvio circoscritto da pluteo laterizio contenente il puteale della cisterna.  Trovansi a destra un triclinio e due celle, a sinistra altro triclinio, la cucina, e due celle minori: di fronte un terzo triclinio, una cella, un recesso per la scala di legno, e sotto di questa una apotheca.)
