VI.14.22 Pompeii. 1959. Room 12, north-east corner of the rinsing basin/vat.
According to Jashemski, originally the portico would have been supported by a heavy pillar on the north-east, north-west and south-west corners.
There were also two columns on each of the three sides, the north, east and south sides.

According to BdI, on this wall (the entrance wall) the following paintings were seen upon excavation.
Painting (1.12 high x 1.12 wide) showing a figure with a feminine aspect (0.80 high) (Hermaphrodite or Venus) looking at him/herself in a mirror.
The background was filled with a simple and white building, at the top of the wall was a cornice.
On the extreme left was a cupid standing on a pedestal with an open box, next to the feminine figure was a herm, statuette or person (due to the bad state of the painting it was difficult to see).
On the right of the painting was a seated figure of Jove.
On the same wall, more to the right was a medallion (0.40 diam.) badly preserved of a female head, turning a little to the left.

According to BdI, on this wall (the left wall) the following paintings were seen upon excavation, beginning from the left (west end):
Flying cupid,
Medallion, completely vanished,
In the middle of the wall, but nearly vanished (1.13 high x 1.10 wide) Narcissus, and on the extreme left, a female figure, probably sitting on a rock,
Medallion, vanished,
(0.38 x 0.06) mask just recognisable,
Flying cupid, with large green wings carrying a plate-shaped pot.
On the upper part of the wall was the usual fantastique architectural decoration with the following figures –
left wall, from left to right: Flying female figure, Nereide on sea-horse, Victoria with shield and lance.

According to BdI, on this wall (the back wall) the following paintings were seen upon excavation, beginning from the left (north end):
Medallion (0.41 diam) with bust of a Satyr,
Central painting (1.12 x 1.12 but hardly recognisable) on the right of it was a person sitting (0.60 high) with white long robe….,
Medallion vanished.
On the upper part of the wall was the usual fantastique architectural decoration with the following figures –
On back wall from the north (left) end: A crowned man sitting on a seat, Nereide on sea-bull, Woman sitting on a seat.

According to BdI, on this wall (the right wall) the following paintings were seen upon excavation:
In the middle of the right wall:(1.12 high x 1.12 wide) but very faded: Judgement of Paris.
On the same wall to the right: medallion (0.33 diam), preserved better than the others showing a crowned Bacchante, with blond hair.
To the right of the medallion: Flying cupid, carrying an object in his hand but this was not clear.
On the upper part of the wall was the usual fantastique architectural decoration with the following figures –
Right wall, from the east end: Flying female figure, Neptune bearded and naked, Victoria with palm.
