In the lower centre is an Apollonian torch, at the side is a bucranium and above is a Delphic tripod resting on a podium, all attributes of Apollo designed to show the divinity of Apollo and show the way through the gates on either side in an artistic portrayal of a sanctuary of Apollo.

under the floor, are visible through a metal grate, and are made up of brick
